Resolution Ranch has been graced by the adorable Ms. Dorothea Love, who, since May, has been the Ranch’s Weekend Chef. Ms. Dorothea’s warm, bubbly personality, and her home-style cooking brings joy, warmth, and full stomachs to the Ranch.
J.P. “What sparked the desire within you to work at the Ranch?”
D.L. “Well I decided to take the job because there was a need and when I found out it was cooking for youth I quickly accepted. Children are my passion–so is cooking!”
J.P. “What was it that brought you to Resolution Ranch?”
D.L. “Knowing there were a bunch of young men in need of some good-old home cooked meal.”
J.P. “Have you worked with residents in the past?”
D.L. “Yes I have–young and old! My church has a substance abuse rehab center; I cook for them at times, as well as work and cook for the elderly.”
J.P. “Have you been a chef before?”
D.L. “No, I have not, but I can be one of the top-of-the-line chefs. When cooking is something you enjoy doing, it comes easy.”
J.P. “What do you like to do in your free time?”
D.L. “Read, listen to Gospel music, cook, decorate homes, weddings, baby showers, play with my grandchildren (we sing together!), read my Bible and meditate on the word of God.
Dorothea ‘Dee’ Love is such a blessing to have at the Ranch. She has shown bountiful kindness to the kids here through all she’s done. Cooking home-style foods has really brightened up the Ranch. “I love what I do for you guys!” said Ms. Dorothea Love.
